Question - Montana Grizz - 09-01-2008

I thought that "soft" units were infantry and "other" units were ones such as mortars that had the ability to move?

I set my armor to "never" fire versus infantry, but they fired at one hex?

Thanks,

Pat

Obviously there are others that don't know about setting Op fire or are confused by the terminology since there have been 5 looks at my post and no answer.

Actually Pat if you look at the Op-Fire Dialog menu the three categories are Hard Targets, Soft Vehicles, and Other Targets. So if you wanted your armor to never fire at infantry you would have to set Other Targets to never.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

I am assuming that "hard target" are anything with armor on them, such as armored cars; that "other targets" means infantry of any type and "soft targets" are all others?

I'm sure you understand that my purpose here is to prevent the old "draw fire with infantry", then smash you with armor.

Pat

Montana G

Hard targets have their defense strength printed in red, all others are in white.

Oh and remember to set engineer units to fire at armour as long ie thats the limit they can fire at so it must be set to long.
