Identifying Sounds in SPWW2/MBT - Cross - 09-14-2008 There's a couple of sounds I don't think I've ever heard in the game. Has anyone come across these sounds: (click on them) 38.wav 220.wav 232.wav 249.wav :chin: I finally identifed this sound: 200.wav Those who have played against the USA in MBT probably fear it...:eek1: RE: Identifying Sounds in SPWW2/MBT - seabolt - 09-15-2008 Cross Wrote:I finally identifed this sound: All should quake in dread of the Giant Beard Trimmer o' Death, yes. I think I've heard 38 attached to a barge's movement and seem to recall 232 as the movement effect for a WWII-era tank, but couldn't be any more specific. -- 30 -- RE: Identifying Sounds in SPWW2/MBT - Cross - 09-15-2008 I found a couple of clips of the A-10 Warthog shooting stuff up with its 30mm gatling cannon, and the SP sound 200.wav is actually about right. In fact 200.wav sounds a bit more plausible than the real thing. One very cool weapon. :smoke: Thanks for that feedback Seabolt. I will set up a few barges from different nations and see if I can find one that actually uses it. So far, every ship and boat I've tested uses the wheeled vehicle sound! It's a bit like that with the aircraft sounds. There's almost a dozen aircraft sounds built into the game, but only about 4 of them are actually used. Though it's possible a nation I haven't tested uses the other sounds. |
