Apologies and tech probs. - Fubar - 10-11-2008

It has become clear that for some reason only about two of my opponents are receiving my emails (Bioman and Andre) without to much trouble. Despite the fact that i'm using a third party, Googlemail, to send them they dont seem to be arriving properly at the other end yet i can receive emails fine. :conf:

This is just part of a long running problem with my ISP and i have had enough now, i am now trying to cancel my Broadband package and move to another ISP but they are doing their best to make things slow and difficult e.g. left on hold for over a hour with no reply and having to start a separate account with the tech support people just to complain about my package. Eek Fiery

I have found that if i send through my Google account using my friends PC things seem fine so if there is anyone that hasn't heard from me for a while shout out here and i will resend, i know some of my oppos had RL troubles and we were on a 'play when you can' basis so i'm unsure who's waiting on me.

Again i am sorry for any inconvenience. Cry

Fubar, just as an aside, your IP (not your ISP) might be blacklisted for spamming. If you're using a cable modem it draws a random available IP from your cable company. If the person previous to you misused it, the number can get blacklisted, then you unwittingly pull it in when you reboot your modem, for whatever reason, like a power outage. Try going here to find your IP: http://whatsmyip.org/ then go here to see if it gets listed: http://www.dnsbl.com/ (right side nav "blacklist lookup"). There are other blacklists and you might be on some and not others. That's why some email goes through to some people, but not others. If you're on a blacklist, notify your ISP, but one solution would be to simply power off your modem and power it back on to draw a new number, however that might or might not work. Go back to the what's my IP site to check.

Hope that helps.
