Air Assault ZOC - Zemke - 11-01-2008 Do air assault infantry excert a zone of control when they land by helo? I have seen cases where two air assault infantry units on opposite side of an enemy unit did not isolate the unit, and there were no other enemy units adjacent. RE: Air Assault ZOC - Glenn Saunders - 11-01-2008 Air Assault Units - that is MAN type units, when deployed (IE - not T Mode which is flying) function in respects to ZOC exactly like any other Inf unit. They are Boots on the ground. I just tested this using the deafult game - OOB and PDT - and it works as I would expect. My test was done using D85 v1.01. If in your case the units are not isolated, there is some other cause exerting an effect. We could talk about some possiblities, but looking at a file is the only way to comment intelligently. Glenn RE: Air Assault ZOC - FLG - 11-01-2008 I think you are probably not patched up to the correct level. From the latest changes file from v1.01 of DF85 Changes for Danube Front '85 V1.01 - Fix for bug that resulted in helicopters carrying men on the ground not having a ZOC. |
