Crown of Glory EE release. - Kingmaker - 02-16-2009 HiHi It looks as though CoG EE will be out fairly soon, http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=630 As it looks to have a PBEM multi-player ability I was wondering if there would be any interest from you folk out there? The game looks to be an absolute stunner and now has a Naval batle componant as well. If there was enough interest for the game maybe we could try getting it on the Nap games rota, as that can take a bit of time I thought I would test the ground see if there was sufficient interest. So if folk are keen, start a list, there is also the point that if CoG EE was part of the Blitz set up then maybe it would bring in new recruits as it did when FoF was added to the ACW ladder, new members = new opponants etc. etc. All the Best Peter RE: Crown of Glory EE release. - Zemke - 03-25-2009 This looks really great, I am downloading it now and cannot wait to play it. RE: Crown of Glory EE release. - Kingmaker - 03-25-2009 HiHi Yer Zemke it's brilliant! Steepish learning curve for the Advanced ecconomy though, which will put some folk off, but there is also a Simple Ecconomy for those that want to get straight into killing stuff. There's a couple of Multi-player PBEMs underway over at the Matrix CoG EE site, http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=630 folks learning the game "on the Hoof" as it were, pop in and sign up to the 'Reserve list' on the Oppanents wanted thread when you feel ready. All the Best Peter RE: Crown of Glory EE release. - Fubar - 03-26-2009 Downloaded this game and Forge Of Freedom the other day, i'm now in the process of printing out the manuals. The games do look good though. RE: Crown of Glory EE release. - Kingmaker - 03-26-2009 HiHi Just in case you haven't spotted them yet Fubar there are some AAR/DARs that various folk have done at the top of the ACW ladder that may help with FoF; fraid for CoG you will have to trawl through the Matrix GoG EE forum for tips/advice etc. All the Best Peter RE: Crown of Glory EE release. - Mr Grumpy - 03-26-2009 I have to say that after getting used to HPS updating all their games to the same level, i don't really like the way Matrix has a "this is the best game ever and you should buy it, but in a years time you will have to buy a better version" it seems to me there is no life in titles that are constantly being quickly superseded, maybe i just cant justify the outlay for these type of short term games and maybe if everyone was like me Matrix would go out of business?? :chin: RE: Crown of Glory EE release. - FM WarB - 04-01-2009 HPS has not exactly made any significant upgrades to the Nappy series. Meanwhile John Tiller has churned out EAW, and the new REN game. Why cannot some good ideas used in those games (and PC) be ported to the Nappy series? Ideas like night movement fatigue, arty fire by prologue and increased customizing of individual units (from REN) spring to mind, along with my customary suggestions, oft posted here and at Gamesquad. I can only guess that the right people don't have access to JT, i know for a fact he always making updates/improvements to HPS titles, but i admit i don't know why the Nappy series is not one of them? Maybe Rich H knows........:chin: |
