Eastern Front Maps - Lowlander - 03-17-2009 Found this site by chance whilst surfing thro some links. www.armchairgeneral.com/rkkaww2/index.htm Select " maps " from top of page, pity the vast majority are original therefore they are mostly in Russian, but wonderful historic items. RE: Eastern Front Maps - Ricky B - 03-18-2009 They are good, even in Russian the transliteration isn't terrible on many names and units. I used the maps for some work on PzC Stalingrad, in helping place units, developing the front line and reserves. Now you know I know that you know where my units started I can categorically refute any ideas you might have about my axes of attack. I used the new "jumble" tool to move things around at random and confuse you (and possibly myself). On the other hand I will trust you to leave your divisions exactly as they are on these maps so I can pick em off in a nice logical fashion? Thanking you in anticipation for your cooperation etc etc Leposh RE: Eastern Front Maps - Lowlander - 03-18-2009 Hi Neil, Fancy meeting you here, should'nt you be concentrating all your time and efforts on listening to music by snow patrol. Anyhow I've got loads of spare time as almost everything on my Front is fixed therefore l'll have to be careful and not dig myself into a hole. Would you like a slug of Vodka, anticipating sampling some German frankfurters and maybe capturing the attention of some fraulein. Actually I'm reading Red Storm over the Balkans by David Glantz and was browsing for a good wartime map on Romania. |
