1600m x 2400m / ME / CMBB - Ratzki - 04-18-2009 I realized thyat there has not been a new map added here for a little while so this will have to do. A couple of screenshots of a 1600m x 2400m cmbb map. The flags have been repositioned by Herroberst and I believe Leto to positions that they thought would improve play. The map was inspired by an old tabletop map that I used several years ago and is a general representation of a small isolated Russian village serviced by rail only. There are 1800 points in flags placed, so the forces used should be this level and above. The intention was to allow a 2000 or so point game to be played on a large map to provide lots of room to move around. If you play with more points, you might want to double up some of the flags by adding more large flags and placing them on top of the others. The other thing that I am trying out is making maps that do not try to have equal terrain features. My thoughts are that some battles are not fair and the players will and should choose forces based on what they have to deal with as far as terrain. There are some rather long LOS ranges possible and the hills are low. The rail line is elevated for it's full length. Make sure you are careful in your setup as there are some places that can see well into the other setup zone. Hope you guys like it, any feedback would be welcomed. Zip file at the end of the post. |
