Didn't anyone warn you to avoid visiting Motherwell John?

RE: Turn delays - Von Luck - 09-24-2009

LOL Think the midges in Motherwell have a bit more biting power after a drink i would think.Nope away up the West coast of Scotland most of the time bit further inland then the stuka's arrive in droves.Damn those littles b****** are a real pain in the neck.Ok if you keep on walking etc but once you stop to admire the view have a smoke coffee etc then its doomsday.

Don't know about Scotland, but in my area of the US we have deer-flies (about the size of a US dime). I am convinced that they don't sting you, but rather take chunks of flesh out of your body with razor sharp teeth.

Furthermore, I am certain that the females produce a sexual attractant chemically similar to that used in insect repellents.

No shorts in the woods for this guy.

Stuff that Pat.Our Midges are about 1/2mm in size but when attacked by about 1 to 2 thousand then your in trouble.Your sctraching for hours after the attack and end up with thousands of little bite marks all over exposed skin.First point of attack always seems to be the ears and just above the eyes with me anyway.Dumbo with big eyes maybe.
