Windows 7 - Nemesis - 10-20-2009 Just to inform you all CS works just fine on the Windows 7 platform, since I am a Windows 7 host I was able to test CS and it works fine. The King is dead (Vista) Long live the King (Windows 7)..... PSSSST...MY next lap top will be a Mac Pro! RE: Windows 7 - Huib Versloot - 10-20-2009 Scrolling the map in the editor seems to be a problem when running on Wndows 7. I have that problem and heard of several others too. RE: Windows 7 - Sturmvogel - 10-21-2009 So far, CS works great in W7, and I haven't come across any issues with the editors. Pssst... <No Comment> :cheeky: RE: Windows 7 - Jason Petho - 10-21-2009 Sturmvogel Wrote:So far, CS works great in W7, and I haven't come across any issues with the editors. Are you using any compatibility settings, or? Jason Petho RE: Windows 7 - Sturmvogel - 10-21-2009 Jason, Straight out of the box install, updated to the latest patches. No compatibility tweaks, or anything else. Could it just be a specific scenario you're editing? Send me the file, and I'll be happy to see if the problem appears on my end. -Kirk RE: Windows 7 - Jason Petho - 10-21-2009 Sturmvogel Wrote:Jason, Hi Kirk. Not me, no, I haven't taken the plunge yet with Windows 7 although I probably will here when I get a new machine sometime this winter. Thank you for the offer though! Jason Petho RE: Windows 7 - Kool Kat - 10-23-2009 Nemesis Wrote:The King is dead (Vista) Long live the King (Windows 7)..... Actually Vista was more like DOA with its hardware compatiability issues and huge memory requirements for an operating system. It was a short lived reign? :stir: Hopefully Microsoft got it "right" with Windows 7 since this OS can be best described as a "Vista Service Pack" - designed to fix all the "bad stuff" users uncovered in Vista. Think this user is going to stay on my "true and tested" WIN XP until we see how the "new" King sits on his throne. :smoke: RE: Windows 7 - Sturmvogel - 10-23-2009 I viewed Vista in the same category as ME... :chin: Long Live the King! <The older one> RE: Windows 7 - Major Anton - 10-23-2009 Windows 7 is defiantly a needed fix for Vista, a clean cut, slim downed version. We been beta testing it at one of or computer labs at the college and it seems to be reliable, of course it’s still the butt of jokes to our Mac users. It’s also nice that Windows now gives you the option not to install apps like Internet Explorer. This is probably there last shot at getting it right, since they lost out on the market in the netbooks with Vista. I wouldn’t put much stock in OS anyway these days, with Google’s Chrome OS (that’s free source) and with the computer world moving to virtual machines and cloud computing in the near future. |
