Question regarding a book - animal mother - 11-29-2009 Hi! I want to buy "Pacific Campaign: The U.S.-Japanes Naval War 1941-1945" by Dan Van der Vat. Has anyone of you read it? Is it good and worth the money? Thanks for replies in advance. Cheers Michael RE: Question regarding a book - Antoni Chmielowski - 11-29-2009 I have it and its a good read and worth buying RE: Question regarding a book - Abena Bahati - 06-01-2016 Even better than his other book, "the Atlantic Campaign". It was a bigger war for the US Navy and it covered a lot of geography. Lots of interviews with Japanese and British soldiers and sailors for balance. Warning, It mostly revolves around the sea battles so its thin on the land battles of the Pacific Theater. Still absolutely facinating. |
