For those who want their approved scenarios linked or moved to the scenario dBASE, please let us know.

Over the next few days I will be contacting each of the designers, through PM and/or e-mail, with scenarios in the H2H testing area.
I'd like to see what the plan is for getting testers and/or moving the scenarios along in the process of gaining approval status.
For those who have scenarios in the testing process who have not been able to push them along, I can have them moved to the Blitz scenario dBASE where they can be downloaded and rated for balance by those who would play them in the future.

The larger scenarios will be given plenty of leeway to get them tested and approved, if that is the designers wish. But, if there are no active testers who have signed up for them they can also be put into the scenario dBASE for general testing.

If you are no longer interested in having your scenario "Blitz approved" please contact us as soon as possible and we can move it to the scenario dBASE to make room for other designs.

We would like to get things moving in the H2H area. Active designers and testers are needed to get things done.

John and I are willing to do what we can to offer assistance to you.

cheers

HSL

RE: Scenario Designs - H2H Testing - Big Ivan - 01-31-2010

Ed,

I've still got two games in progress on "Forty-five Clicks to Moscow". When those are complete I wanted to redo the scenario a bit and reissue under version 2.0

I've got some excellent feedback thus far in the ratings giving me some great ideas for minimal changes in version 2.0. I assume that when I do the reissue, version 1.0 will disappear and playtest will begin again.

Let me know if I'm off base on the procedure.
Thanks

ItB, Thanks!

We are not getting rid of the ones that are there now. Just as long as you are active there is no problem with your scenario staying and continuing development.
We have a few in H2H that are taking up space and not being actively tested by the designers or testers. Those will be moved to the regular scenario dBASE.
Then we can upload some new scenarios that the designers and testers are willing to move toward H2H approval. :smoke:

cheers

RE: Scenario Designs - H2H Testing - Big Ivan - 02-10-2010

Hi Ed,

Looks like my playtests on "Forty-five Clicks to Moscow" are completed. Next step I would like to tweak the scenario a bit based on comments received thus far in reports. My question is, should I re-post scenario in a new version 2.0? If so what happens to the old scenario? I assume it would be removed in favor of the old one. However I am not sure who does that process. Can you explain?

Thanks

Ivan the Big:smoke:

Hi ItB,

I keep a version of my designs in a separate folder on my desktop. This way if I mess up a revision I can go back to the original and start over.

When you replace the scenario the original will be overwritten. Designers should always make a note, ie. "version 2.0" etc., when uploading a revised scenario file.
I keep the file name but note the version number in the scenario description.

I am looking forward to your revision. I liked your initial design and the tweaks should make it much better.

Regards,

HSL
