Problem Launching Acft - billk1 - 04-01-2010 Okay, my carrier is turned into the wind, 10 aircraft have been spotted and given a mission. My carriers speed is 21 knots and the wind speed is 10 knots but I get the cannot launch note in the aircraft dialog box. What am I doing wrong? RE: Problem Launching Acft - Jolly Roger - 04-04-2010 Hi. In case wind direction is E, you gotta turn your carrier to the east. Wind speed and carrier speed is OK in your example. What message do you receive ? Wind ? Wait ? Move ? Have you assigned missions to the spotted aircrafts ? I started another scenario and I have no problems launching aircraft. I do have a question you might shed some light on, when an aircraft launches, I hear a countdown beeper, what is that for? I usually do not assign orders to more than five aircrafts.
