Capabilities of "no bridge" engineer - LBouton - 10-12-2010 Anyone know if a "no bridge" engineer can ferry troops across a river or are they just ditch diggers? RE: Capabilities of "no bridge" engineer - Mr Grumpy - 10-12-2010 I am assuming you are referring to a bridge engineer unit that has abandoned its bridge? If so i see no reason why it will not function as a standard engineer unit in regards to ferrying troops over river hexsides and providing supply, but a simple test would make 100% sure. ;) RE: Capabilities of "no bridge" engineer - Glenn Saunders - 10-12-2010 From the docs All Engineer units except for Bridgelayers (see below) are capable of: • Improving the ability to Dig-In • Bridge Damage and Anti-Tank Ditch Destruction • Ferrying units across Rivers and Canals • Mine Laying • Clearing Rubble While some Engineer units are also capable of: • Mine Clearing • Bridge Building So the answer would be YES I think. However the above refers to river hexsides not full water hexes - This would require end with a special "Has Boats" designation.
