Information when reporting Ladder games - TheBigRedOne - 11-05-2010 Gents, Been peeking through the ladder games of late, and I've noticed that very few of you either make comments on the games you've played or give a value in the optional ratings section. This is information that I think is quite valuable, not only for posterity's sake, but to give information to others who are looking for potential games to play. It also gives the scenario designers, especially of the newer games, some excellent feedback from the SB community on how well balanced and enjoyable their scenarios are. Very useful information. I'm not asking for full blown AARs, of course, but throw out a comment on your experience, or more importantly entering the data about the balance and entertainment/challenge of the scenario. It's information that has some real value to the community at large. Take a couple of extra seconds and fill out some of that optional information. Might be worth some bonus points from your supreme commander.... ;) RE: Information when reporting Ladder games - Compass Rose - 11-06-2010 It appears to me that the ladder system is missing a major reporting option. If you are not the player who enters the game data, you have no option to ever be able to add any of your own thoughts or ratings about the game you just finished. If you are luck enough that your opponent has left some type of feedback, you are forced to just read what your opponent has stated, whether you agree or disagree with him. Basically, its a one-way street. Has anyone ever suggested that the game ladder reporting process have such an option? If not, I'd like to suggest it. It would sure become a more helpful and useful tool when selecting future battles. Thanks RE: Information when reporting Ladder games - keif149 - 11-06-2010 Probably other ways to do it, but you can click on the name of the finished game in your results section of your home page. Then it takes you to the scenario info and results page. Under the scenario info block, there is a "vote" button. You can vote or rate the scenario even if you are not the one that reported it. RE: Information when reporting Ladder games - TheBigRedOne - 11-06-2010 That is correct. Anyone can go onto any scenario they've played and vote, even if they weren't the one to record the results. Check out my mad graphical skills. RE: Information when reporting Ladder games - Compass Rose - 11-06-2010 Ahh, I was wondering what those did. It just goes to show that you can learn something new, every day. Thanks for the info, guys! BTW, please cancel my suggestion  RE: Information when reporting Ladder games - cazart! - 11-09-2010 Also, when you vote you can enter a brief aar/description of the action, as I just learned.... |
