SU-152 - Iwo Jim - 11-21-2010

This is started life as a Tamiya 1/35 scale KV-2, the hull pretty much built strait from the box modified slightly to accommodate the super structure which is a vacuformed mod for this kit, gun barrel and muzzel brake are scratch built.

Damn see now if Itried doing something like this it would come on a damn big presentation unit.

Most likely the table I had managed to stick it to during the build process.

Seriously its the fine detail you guys manage to get in the painting that makes these things

Paint couple of shoeprints on the deck and you can't tell if this is a model or not :)

RE: SU-152 - Walrus - 11-24-2010

That's great scratch building there bro.
Very good filtering work on the paint too. I am having a wee crack at some armour at the moment, it's quite different from aircraft, and I am learning heaps.
Thanks for sharing.
