What are the requirements to become a tutor? Apart from knowing something about this game? Violin

I suggest you open a post on "Important Threads" where tutorials are offered. So new players can get help there.

Hello Roman,

We used to have an official mentoring program here at the blitz... while it is now gone, mentored games for new players can still be offered/arranged.

Unless I am mistaken, the mentor also gets a few ladder points for the effort as many newbies up an disappear after a few rounds.

A couple of requirements..

the new player cannot have more than 5 games recorded on the ladder.
the mentoring player cannot claim anything more than a 'draw', no matter the result

The mentor needs to communicate observed bad habits promptly, and needs to discuss, in detail, why things work, why things don't work, game mechanics, tactics, etc to the newbie..

the mentor needs to contact our ladder custodian and let him know that a mentored game has begun.. and who is being mentored.

Some of us still are happy to mentor newbies.. including me.
