Smolensk WITE - Bidermann - 12-25-2010

I have played this scenario a couple of times as Axis , how can the Axis get to Smolensk and win the battle in 10 turns? Its damn hard to do

Failed my first attempt.. started it again, but didn't finish the first turn yet.. been buying and playing too many 'on sale' games

Haven't played the Smolensk scenario yet but all I can suggest is to let your infantry make the holes and then run the panzers through and pocket as many Soviets as you can. Keep it up as long as or when your logistics allow it. Playing a Grand Campaign against the AI right now and on my turn 3 I ended only 8 hexes away but now I'm stuck waiting for the infantry and supply to catch up.

Its just getting to Smolensk in time, I got to with in 6 hexs away ,but trying to break through the Russian lines , and in the south getting across the river .

Its a very good game in that you get the feel of how hard for the Axis it was to carry on with limited supplies and defeat the Russians.
