Machine Guns - Fusilier9 - 08-13-2011 My impression is that MG's aren't that effective in CMBN. Seems their rate of fire is too low which does not represent their ability to suppress. I have not found those MG 42's that great and easily out gunned by an American infantry squad. Anyone else feeling this or maybe I am doing something wrong? I always keep my heavey MG 42s well to the rear since they have a 1,000 meter range and are easily supressed by an infantry squad or two that is within a couple of hundred meters. I also try and work them in pairs when possible since they always seem to jam at the worst time. |
