Game Delays - fastphil - 08-27-2011 Gents my apologies for slow turns but we are making preparations for the arrival of Irene so my gaming has slowed down a bit. We should be safe but you never know. Since we live about 90 miles east of NYC (fortunately on a hill several miles inland) we will most likely be in the worst quadrant. A lot will depend on how fast it moves through. They are estimating 21 hours of 1-2 inches of rain per hour. No drought here but probably a lot of down trees. We lost seven to Gloria in 1985-fortunately none hit the house. Hope our luck holds. I'm far enough inland that I think the winds should not be too much of a factor, but we've had flooding several times before. Best of luck to anyone else that may be on the East Coast.
