.50 cal immobilizes Tiger tank ?? - Jobu88 - 08-29-2011 Shut in today due to hurricane...playing Villers Bocage vs the AI.....on the first turn my Tiger was immobilized by .50 cal fire from the 6 or 7 US halftracks that start the scenario right in front of the Tiger. By 5 seconds on Turn 1 my tank was immobilized, and by 11 seconds the crew was bailing out!! Game over. I've seen 20mm and 25mm guns immobilize a tank when used in groups; but never seen a .50 cal immobilize a tank in 11 years playing CM. Immobilize armored cars or other lightly-armored vehicles, yes; but never seen a tank immobilized. In our game my .50 cal fired 50% of the available ammo at 250 meter at a halftrack and the vehicle is still operational. Be a good POS study project :)
