Testers Needed for Exciting New Scenario - Shahadi - 10-08-2011

Afghan Wars - Highway A01 Ambush*

Date: September 17, 2006*

Battle Location: Between Gerdi, Afghanistan and Pakistani Border on Asian Highway 1*
*
Battle Type: US Marine Recon Squad Vs Mujahadeen/Al Qaeda Insurgents*
*
Description: A Marine recon squad, Lima Co, 2nd platoon, 1st squad, 1st Recon Battalion is patrolling the deadly stretch of Asian Highway 1 (A01) between Gerdi and the Pakistani border. Their mission is to locate, engage, and kill insurgent forces that may threaten ISAF/NATO supply convoys headed for Jalalabad, Kabul, and beyond.*

Sargent "Hitman" and his squad must terminate any insurgent threats, remove mines, and secure A01. The ensuing ambush by Taliban and Al Qeda units result in a fierce firefight. Hitman calls in support from a heavy arty battery to repel the insurgent attack.*

Game play.*
*
Best played from the USMC side only. Game played on a small 20x20 map in 12 turns, therefore, you must make your actions swiftly and with deadly prejudice.*
*
Victory conditions.*
*
Eliminate insurgent threat, remove mines from A01, and secure all victory hexes.*

This scenario is available for testing in the H2H folder.

The download files are attached, "AW_Highway_A01_Ambush.zip."

Hey Walrus, we wanted to try the H2H system to testing and approval, but yeah I'll load up the files with my post. Great call.

It loaded up fine for me in slot#307,looks great.
When i have time i'll play it and pass some thoughts,for whatever its worth:rolleyes:
First Humvee hits a IED and when the others disembark they are surrounded and get shot to pieces.

Hi Guys
I thought the H2H system was for testing scenarios that were made to be played PBEM only?
This seems to be a standard scenario...not meant for PBEM, just solo play.

I used the DL link here in the post, it worked perfectly. Thank.

Anyway, I gave it a quick go.
By end game, all flags taken, all enemy killed except a crew unit and one mortar that I never found.
I had one more Hummer immobilised but only lost three men total.
Ran out of ammo for snipers. They were crucial.
Not a bad scenario, well made sir!
No good for PBEM though.

Score 2009 (USMC) - 250 (AQ)

Gila, use smoke, then disembark and you'll have a fighting chance. Take another look.
