1/72 Airfix bf-109 E7 Trop - Walrus - 05-01-2012 Hi Chaps This was a dog of a kit, horrible raised surface detail, appalling fit for canopy and wings...just terrible...but also fun to wrestle with. I did it 'in-flight', a first for me. Used ProbBlur, which I think looks OK. Also made a free wee stand out of wire...it works fine and cost nothing ;) My partner used her skills to mock up an 'in-flight' photo, just for a laugh. So, not the best 109 you'll ever see, but a great test of my limited modelling skills. It looks good flying over the other on my shelves. Cheers RE: 1/72 Airfix bf-109 E7 Trop - Compass Rose - 05-01-2012 Very nice Walrus. I really like the last two pictures. Thanks for sharing! RE: 1/72 Airfix bf-109 E7 Trop - Vesku - 05-01-2012 Last pic is quite good, shows how much better any model would look in black and white with a background. Nice job, you even got the wings pointing at the right direction :) RE: 1/72 Airfix bf-109 E7 Trop - Walrus - 05-02-2012 Cheers lads ;) I even got the prop on the right end Vesku! A miracle RE: 1/72 Airfix bf-109 E7 Trop - Weasel - 05-03-2012 Bro, I thought the photos were real thing! RE: 1/72 Airfix bf-109 E7 Trop - Walrus - 05-06-2012 Thanks mate ;) They worked out OK...glad to have that one finished and looking like a 109 in the end result. RE: 1/72 Airfix bf-109 E7 Trop - Iwo Jim - 05-07-2012 Very cool Jason, that black and white shot looks like the real deal |
