SPWW2 or SPMBT - billk1 - 05-16-2012 I'm considering on purchasing one of the SP games, which is the best if the two? RE: SPWW2 or SPMBT - Compass Rose - 05-16-2012 I don't play the series however, both are available as free downloads. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Camo_Workshop/WW2/WW2_page.html http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Camo_Workshop/MBT/MBT_page.html I'd suggest trying the free versions out 1st to see which one you like better. That way if you decide they aren't for you, you are not out all of that money! ;) RE: SPWW2 or SPMBT - billk1 - 05-16-2012 (05-16-2012, 05:11 AM)Compass Rose Wrote: I don't play the series however, both are available as free downloads. Good idea, I'll try that, thanks. RE: SPWW2 or SPMBT - Compass Rose - 05-16-2012 Don't forget to download each and every patch and make sure to install them in the proper order. RE: SPWW2 or SPMBT - Weasel - 05-16-2012 the cd version only gives more game slots (but the other player need the cd version too or else you are limited to 0-4) and some "shooting rules" that allow you to set up ambushes and such better. All in all, go with free until you become hard core. RE: SPWW2 or SPMBT - gabeeg - 05-18-2012 They are both great, Which one you prefer really boils down to whether you are more interested in modern combat or WWII combat. They play the same, though there are differences due to the equipment (sighting, range, accuracy of equipment generally improved in WinSPMBT...so tactics need to be tweaked a bit) RE: SPWW2 or SPMBT - Weasel - 05-19-2012 sorry, I miss read your post. It all depends on what you are looking for but both have their +/-, but since they are free you can't complain too loudly (ahem). |
