Looking for good nautical model stores/shops - Compass Rose - 06-01-2012 Does anyone know of any good and reliable places/on-line hobby shops that sell nautical models that could be used in an HO scale (1:87) model train layout dock scene? I'm looking for models that easily fit in a 1940's-1960's era scene located in the USA, such as tugboats, cargo ships, light houses, USGC boats, small war surface ships, etc. It would be a big plus to locate models that did not have anything below the water line, so they could easily be used in a dock-side water scene. Thanks RE: Looking for good nautical model stores/shops - Herr Straße Laufer - 06-01-2012 How about these: http://www.prototypicalmodeltrains.com/site/1324105/page/2906237 http://www.alibaba.com/promotion/promotion_ho-scale-ship-models-promotion-list.html http://www.modelexpo-online.com/product.asp?ITEMNO=FR131 http://www.rustystumps.com/proddetail.asp?prod=K4003 http://www.bearcomarine.com/resin.htm http://www.internettrains.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=IT&Category_Code=HSCLDTBTSSSMSHP Most are above the waterline. Plus, you can shoot off on other links. HSL RE: Looking for good nautical model stores/shops - Compass Rose - 06-01-2012 You have some good links there, Ed. Thanks for the help.
