July 29, 1914 - jonnymacbrown - 07-30-2012 Austria bombards Belgrade and tries the first of 12 unsuccessful attempts to cross the Danube. Germany informs Russia that "partial mobilization" means war. German patrols invade France! The Tsar attempts to rescind the mobilization order.
