The AAW mod was created many moons ago by a guy named Frank "Echo Four" Harmon, the original commander over at Task Force Echo 4. As the first full game-mod for SB, it stands as the benchmark for all that followed. There are plenty of other scenarios for AAW over at TFE4 as well. To Frank, wherever you are, thanks! A RE: PW - Africa at War Mod - Outlaw Josey Wales - 08-21-2012 You won't be disappointed. I like all the ww2 and post ww2 titles I have, but don't have Falklands and Modern War yet, and find AAW and DBP as the two that stand out overall with the crisp look and fun scenarios. They are all good, but those two shine a bit more, it's hard to describe. To me it's like the PzC series, they are all good, but the desert titles just seem to have a little extra shine to them. I really don't know how to describe the extra appeal to them. |
