I have on messed around with it so far. My kids tried it and they like
CM1 & CM2 better LOL

Very different. Very gamey. Some people say it's like Squad Leader or Advanced Squad Leader. I don't get that feel at all. I spent $20 and will maybe put more time into it at a later date. I just couldn't pass up a deal.

I gave it a spin for a month or so but now I don't play it at all. Hard to put my finger on it but it just lacks something. I felt the same with Field of Glory so I wonder if it is the board mechanics not being as advanced as what a true 'computer' game puts forward.

In saying that I'm looking forward to Heroes of Stalingrad.

Overall I much prefer Squad Battles. Now that is worth every penny I have spent.

I too am looking forward to HoS. I don't like the server based human to human. I still am VERY HAPPY with SB too!

I'm the same with regard to the server based human to human games. Much prefer traditional pbem games. Actually I play most of my games this way. Although I really enjoy Battlefield Academy I have kept clear of this type of gaming.

I LOVE Battlefield Academy! I played it non stop till I got into SB!
I haven't played it in a good 6 months. I got tried of the new people
starting a game & quitting after 4 turns because the battle wasn't going
their way or going MIA and then starting a new game with someone
else....

Got to admit BA has really hit the spot. Really enjoyable AI games. Its one of those games where you just keep playing to try and get through the scenario.

Its a very fun game. Light weight but really fun.

You very rarely get that type of play over at the SB board. They are a great bunch. I think SB players are a bit more mature than your joe average punters over on the BA board.
