Error 486 - Laza - 02-15-2014 I recently had to get a new PC a HP with windows 8 I installed CS with 1.04 through the desktop and didnt have any problems playing games. Then yesterday after some routine windows security updates whenever I tried to open or start a game its come up with Error486. I uninstalled and then reinstalled game and 1.04 patch but still nojoy Any ideas ? RE: Error 486 - Warhorse - 02-16-2014 Can you tell where the computer installs it to? Are you able to access regedit, and see where it references to? I don't have win8, so not much help, just know for sure that 486 is a registry error.
