To my opponents - Richie61 - 03-23-2015 To my opponents. I have enjoyed the heck out of SB, but I think I need to step away. Thinking it's best to just put gaming away for awhile and maybe find another outlet for fun. I will finish up all my current SB games and then file away all my SB files. Sorry I never finished the AotR mod. Been lots of fun and I have enjoyed battling all you guys. It's been an honor to be accepted into you group!!!! Hope you will find a nice new Hobby. Micha RE: To my opponents - TheBigRedOne - 03-23-2015 Sorry to hear this, Ed. As prolific as you've been, I guess it doesn't surprise me, though. Hopefully in the future you'll catch the bug again and return to the fold. Best of luck, stay in touch. RE: To my opponents - Paulinski - 03-24-2015 This sucks ED. As I REALLY enjoyed playing with ya. Best of luck with the new hobbies RE: To my opponents - Outlaw Josey Wales - 03-26-2015 What you really need is something else to do at the same time. Reduce the number of games while increasing the time for your something new. I have a couple to a few games going in every system I am playing and none are guaranteed daily turns. But I take time to do other things as well, which is why it doesn't guarantee daily turns. I switch to play a baseball game as either a Manager, General Manager or both. The game itself is a free download now and provides a lifetime of baseball. Since I smoke, I use that time outside to read. Also, since I am married, when the wife wants to go do something, you can bet I'm taking her to do what she wants to do, usually the casino. It helps with getting burned out on gaming. So does playing a different game system. If all you play is SBs, maybe reduce those and start another series like ACW or PzCs/MCs or something else. Lots of things help rather than just walking away. RE: To my opponents - Stejones82 - 03-27-2015 COLD TURKEY ! ! ! Crikey, you'd think we were valium or sumpthen. Ed - great guy and lots fun had over the years! We shall stay intouch. As you (and other regular opps) know, I too have to put RL ahead of SqB for awhile (but I did order Winter War and Korea from Rich). I have cut way back on SqB games and fiddlin' with other systems plus another project. You are an excellent player, best of chums, and downright all-round good guy. We shall connect again down the line, and maybe you'll beat me then!! Cheers, lad. Take the fork in the road. But ne'er forget your buds here at the blitz and check in now and again. RE: To my opponents - Stejones82 - 03-27-2015 was it just me? Did anyone else hear a ghostly refrain of Auld Lang Syne ? RE: To my opponents - kolc - 03-27-2015 I have to agree with OJW...diversity is key. I limit myself to no more than 5 games going at any one time..while SB is my primary game...I usually have at least one game going in ACW or EAW or CS as well to avoid too much small unit/small arms fun ...looks like I will soon be adding some Naval warfare to the mix as well as I am starting to take an interest there... Hey Steve I just bought WW too...let me know if you want a quick game RE: To my opponents - gabeeg - 03-29-2015 I hope whatever you do in the place of SB it brings you as much as or more pleasure (cough...I doubt it....cough :P ). You know you can always come back to the warm love of the Blitz whenever you want. You will be missed.
