Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - Pinetree - 01-07-2016 Hey guys, Just got the game a couple of days ago and the first thing I do is see what I can do to mod it. The first thing I did is get all the alt graphics that are spread all over the folders and package them for JSGME so it's easy to swap files in and out. Very similar to what the devs did for JTCS. Here's a screen shot: Would anyone be interested in these repackaged files? RE: Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - Strela - 01-07-2016 Hi Pinetree, Thanks for picking up the game! I'd be interested to see what you have done - I can then look at how we can semi-officially support the JSGME system out of the box going forward - allowing players to actually use a lot of the material already included with the game. As your screen shot shows much of this is only shown in the Designers Notes and a simple way to make it more accessible would be great. Thanks, David RE: Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - Pinetree - 01-07-2016 No worries, here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptvjo6qypwhdvq4/PzBN_alt_graphics_JSGME.zip?dl=0 Just extract into the mods folder. RE: Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - Compass Rose - 01-07-2016 I've been using JSGME for years in my JTS games. It is a real handy tool. For anyone interested, here is a link to a walk through of how to install it. https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=65299 RE: Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - Richie61 - 01-08-2016 Thanks Pinetree. I learned to use JSGME years ago in racing and combat flight sims. I even use it in my day to day AutoCAD work :) RE: Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - phoenix - 01-08-2016 Hey Plodder. Didn't realise you were over here too! Look forward to some great graphics! The other folks at work manual go into the fold and delete or rename the database files. I thought one day that Jones can do it and now do it with a click or two on my desktop screen As for SB games? Sent me one and I will gladly reply RE: Using JSGME for Alt graphics in PzB Normandy - Pinetree - 01-09-2016 (01-08-2016, 04:33 AM)phoenix Wrote: Hey Plodder. Didn't realise you were over here too! Look forward to some great graphics! Hi Peter, I've been lurking here on and off for years. I was even in the CM ladder many years ago. I probably won't do too much modding-wise, I've got much to do on other games, I noticed an error with the files I sent, the VP embossed and plain folders were reversed. Just rename them. |
