OOB manipulation-Kursk etc. - carl11 - 03-11-2017

I always thought it odd that Tiller ( and team) didn't add a scenario to Kursk 43, re: Mansteins grand tactical suggestion that last minute, they maneuver for an attack through the nose of the Salient, not 'neck' attacks.

So, which means I am left to create one ( unless some else has?) .

I am using the 'big battle' of course and moving units around etc. Heres the thing; what net supply effect does having korp separated by half a large map away from their Army parent have?

I am asking because the OOB will not allow me to move Korps from Army to Army....

Q- can I successfully copy a korp, then paste into a different army, (eliminate the original of course), will the korp in its new position successfully attach to its new army parent?

Has anyone tried that?

using the OOB editor you can copy a corps and paste it under another army (just remember to delete old corps otherwise you will have duplicates everywhere) But this method should only be used if you are building the scenario from scratch and not manipulating an existing scenario.

If you're manipulating an existing scenario using the pcedit file, you may just want to use the corps attachment feature.

Thank you for responding Ocito.

I did try copying and pasting using the existing scn. and yes, it blew the scn. to smithereens.

So, the 'corps attachment feature', I have never used it, before I try any hints or tricks I should know or pitfalls I should be aware of?
