Tournaments - Henniak - 10-25-2017 Hi guys ! First , warning , i'm a french speaker (belgian). Not easy to write english, be indulgent :) I like to build QB map since years and making QB tournament for the french community. http://www.appui-feu.com/index_t.php http://www.appui-feu.com/modules.php?name=Ladder&do=TournoiGest But there not much players remaining these days , it's hard to gather 8 motivated players. Here , i see the Wacht and Rhein tournament who bring 32 players in two days So i wondering , i could give life to my old and future maps by making tournaments here. I'm talking about QB , sudden death elimination. I don't know wich opus is popular here , if you like meet or att-def , small/med or big ? Let me know. Someone interested ? One step foward :) there is a bit of QB maps craft by myself. Obviously not art , but fit for a QB :) CMBN CMFI CMRT CMFB see you later :) RE: Tournaments - weapon2010 - 10-26-2017 hey , love your maps, great work!, can you upload them? to be honest with tournaments, they like to start them, not big on finishing them tho RE: Tournaments - Henniak - 10-26-2017 (10-26-2017, 06:29 AM)weapon2010 Wrote: they like to start them, not big on finishing them tho By they , you mean the guy who rule the tournament (like me i hope) , or the players ? link to map pack : https://www.petit-fichier.fr/2017/10/26/hk-2017-cmx2-pack/hk-2017-cmx2-pack.rar RE: Tournaments - Stonecutter - 10-26-2017 (10-26-2017, 08:02 AM)Henniak Wrote:(10-26-2017, 06:29 AM)weapon2010 Wrote: they like to start them, not big on finishing them tho It is generally the players who lose impetus to finish tournaments/campaigns - as players, we tend to have short attention spans If the battles are kept short (i.e. <=60 turns) and, more importantly, rounds must be finished within a brief time (say one month max), then completion is far more likely. RE: Tournaments - Henniak - 10-26-2017 Usually i set 30 min for a meet with 2 month deadline by turn and 45 min for att with 3 month. Some finish within a month , but most are too slow... A month max by turn , it seems short ! This forum don't call hitself Blitz for nothing :) RE: Tournaments - weapon2010 - 10-26-2017 I am referring to the only 2 tourneys I joined, Storm in the east and Wacht am Rhein, they got started, very fun, then they died on the vine seriously Henniak , I want those maps, hook me up RE: Tournaments - Panzer Lehr - 10-26-2017 Weapon2010 ... Henniak did give you a link to his maps .... see above or here is the link to his map pack : https://www.petit-fichier.fr/2017/10/26/...2-pack.rar RE: Tournaments - A Canadian Cat - 10-26-2017 @Henniak, those maps look very nice. You are absolutely free to advertise and run a tournament on our message boards. Go for it! Based on the response here to our scenario of the month program I think you will find willing participants. The other posters are talking about two tournaments that were started by our moderator that have stalled due to RL issues that mean he cannot spend time finishing them off. P.S. Are you aware of the Scenario Depot site (http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/)? You can upload maps there for many users to find and use. RE: Tournaments - Henniak - 10-27-2017 Yepee :) Let's make a tournament then ! RE: Tournaments - Panzer Lehr - 10-29-2017 Cat ... anyway his tourney can be placed on homepage so people will notice it? |
