GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - Don Czirr - 03-04-2019 Greetings Gentlemen, I was getting the itch to buy Pacific War but looking at the old graphics, it makes me want to apply some of excellent types of mods that I had used to dress up AoTR and Red Victory. It seems however, that the old GameSquad links etc are dead. Would anyone have some working links or files that would spruce up the Pacific War maps? RE: GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - Compass Rose - 03-04-2019 Check these links as they offer you most of what is out there. The first two are the most recent and the most popular. https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=71770&pid=426620#pid426620 And make sure you download these art mods, while you can. You will not regret it. https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=71105&pid=423705#pid423705 For older stuff, check out TF-Echo4. https://tfe4.wordpress.com/graphics-and-sound-mods/pacific-war/ Make sure you get the Sharp End Scenarios, too. https://tfe4.wordpress.com/the-sharp-end-2/ Highly suggest using JSGME to help easily control all non-stock files like 3rd party art mods and scenarios. https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=65299 If you need help setting up JSGME, let me know and I will help guide you to getting it going. RE: GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - Don Czirr - 03-04-2019 Greatly appreciated Sir. =) Now that I am retiring from my corporate job in a couple of months, I may actually be able to engage in responsible pbem and get schooled by you fine fellows ... Best regards and thanks RE: GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - -72- - 03-05-2019 (03-04-2019, 12:22 AM)Don Czirr Wrote: Greetings Gentlemen, I got all of what was there -I used to have them organised until a server change killed off the software the site had been using. They're all in one big zip file. Some folders are empty because there was never anything in them at that other site (and I had created the structure on anticipation that some files might eventually be created for titles.). There are some mods there -I believe they are all under 'Misc' -none of them are my own work. http://hist-sdc.com/squad_battles/downloads-sb.zip RE: GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - Warhorse - 03-06-2019 How big is this file?! 1.6gb, and still downloading?! Consider this, the host server crashed, and the host package that I had had was not available -so it meant having to rebuild the site entirely. The file sharing software that the site had been using was no longer compatible with the os used by the server ... which effectively meant the download area was borked. The option was make them available again when I did or wait until I had enough time to try to source download software and then re-upload everything. It is what it is. RE: GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - Don Czirr - 03-07-2019 Thanks Guys - got Pacific War up and looking rather spiffy. =) I'm having a hard time getting to some scenarios however. The "6 Pack" from Wild Bill and some others don't seem available from : https://tfe4.wordpress.com/sb-game-resources/pacific-war/ And I could not find them in your big zip file Trauth ... Any other possible sources for them? RE: GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - Warhorse - 03-07-2019 Got it Trauth, thanks very much!! RE: GameSquad Mods etc All gone? - Warhorse - 03-09-2019 Wild Bill Wilder, now there's a blast from the past! Little bit of trivia, WBW gave me my title "Warhorse" a long time ago, when we worked together with Matrix developing the game now known as SPWAW! He wrote in an email, after I had done a bunch of graphics and oob editing "your a real workhorse, no a Warhorse" Name stuck and there it is!! |
