Borgward IV - Andrea G - 05-09-2020 Playing the scenario 1119_12a Too Little too Late from Stalingrad 42 as axis, I have a unit composed of Sdkfz301, the Borgward of the title, which was a beefed up goliath. I have tried to demolish a bridge with it, but the demolition in the scenario is banned by the wired bridge rule, so what else can this contraption do? RE: Borgward IV - Mr Grumpy - 05-10-2020 If it has a hard or soft attack value it could attack normal units or if it has a very high assault value you could use it to beef up an important assault? RE: Borgward IV - Andrea G - 05-10-2020 It has 0 soft and hard attack value and 6 assault value, not very much. Will try to use it to beef up an assault, if I ever got the chance. RE: Borgward IV - Mr Grumpy - 05-10-2020 I agree, not a very useful piece of kit, even an assault value of 6 is not impressive, I was expecting you to say 20 or so! RE: Borgward IV - Jeff Conner - 05-11-2020 I'm at work and don't have access to my games, but if the Borgward is a demolition unit like a Goliath, it can be used to clear minefields and obstacles like an engineer. It also gives a bonus in assaults against bunkers and pillboxes. All of the uses cause a loss of units depending on a factor in the pdt. Hope this helps some. Jeff RE: Borgward IV - Andrea G - 05-11-2020 Yes, it's a big goliath; so it's useful in attack, not so much in defense |
