Artillery Question - The Real Rake - 11-27-2020 I posted this over at the ACWGC forum, but the response seemed uncertain: Being very new to this system, I’m not clear on how artillery usage is calculated in either direct fire or in melee. I understand the Fire Casualties calculation (User Manual, Pg. 22) and the Melee calc’s on Page 27. What I haven’t been able to clearly discern is the conversion value of the number of guns to men. Taking direct fire first, the Stacking Limits say “When a hex contains guns, then each gun counts as 50 men for the purpose of stacking.” Under Uncrewed Artillery & Recrewing, the example is given using 25 men (this comes from the PDT and is variable; I get that). Not that this has kept me from wandering into double canister fire, but which value is used for the fire value calculation, is it 25 or is it 50? The one reply stated "50, afaik" Could someone here affirm that? Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to all RE: Artillery Question - HeyThere - 12-02-2020 I am reading all the documentation the past two day since I bought this. 50 is for Fire. 25 is for Melee. Good gaming to you. RE: Artillery Question - The Real Rake - 12-08-2020 (12-02-2020, 06:53 AM)HeyThere Wrote: I am reading all the documentation the past two day since I bought this. Thank you! I haven't yet had time to review the new manuals that have been published for the series. |
