Change a Pace - Jim - 02-10-2022 I didnt see a separate category for the Civil War series so will post it here. Forgive me if this is the wrong forum. Back in the day I played some Civil War games PBEM....Corinth I remember well....and one other I am thinking maybe Antietam. These games are just a TON of fun as I remember them. I have Gettysburg and I think the whole thing would be fun with both sides committing their troops over time and battling for the terrain advantages. But I am spoiled.... The PzC gold graphics are so much improved (although I dont care much for the 3D versions in Pzc but loved them in the Civil War games) and looking at the Forgotten Battles 3D graphics just makes my mouth water for this style of graphics for the Gettysburg game. Just wondering if there is a graphics only mod for the Gettysburg game out there that would use higher rez and prettier 3D graphics. I just think the Civil War games were made to be played zoomed in lol. And would love to see a better graphics model for the older titles. RE: Change a Pace - Compass Rose - 02-11-2022 I am not sure which version of Gettysburg you have (HPS, JTS, WDS) however, from the WDS store page you can easily see what the graphics look like these days. https://wargameds.com/collections/civil-war-battles/products/campaign-gettysburg I too, am a 2D guy however, the 3D graphics are leaps and bounds above what we had for years. We also have a 3rd Party mod section covering just the ACW series. https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/forumdisplay.php?fid=263 Just a heads-up, that some of older mods may not work 100% on the newly released WDS versions.
