Command Range - greg54 - 03-23-2022 I see that there is a hotkey for command range, but I cannot find anything in the manual that explains what command range does. RE: Command Range - Gary McClellan - 03-24-2022 Very bottom of page 27 of the 1776 manual. Detached Units A unit is considered detached when it is outside the command radius of it’s immediate superior officer, normally a Brigade commander. The Leaders detached status is irrelevant for the determining this, thus allowing brigades to be assigned to guard remote locations away from the main army, but still be a fully functional command.
