Operation Fischreiher (v.1) - zovs66 - 12-28-2022 This is a mod of Atheory's Project: Operation Fischreiher (Stalingrad42). All I did was to update the text to use spacing, provided a date and location in the text info, fixed a spelling typo, updated the OOB to hook into the provided Italian graphic files (I used from Sicily 43, Tunisia 43, and El Alamein 42), modified the Italian XXX Corp HQ bmp I got from one of the other games and made it XXXV, took a guess at the two Italian Division HQ flags and I think that is it. Oh I guess I made it also 4.01 complaint as well., this means you need to put the files in the right place but I think it's self explanatory. When you unzip the file you'll see these folders just either move the contents from the Data and Scenarios folder, or unzip it into the Stalingrad folder, you'll need to add the Italian folder to pick up the changes. Here is the contents of that folder: The scenario should show at the end of the files like so: Once it loads: Some new and fresh Italians for you! Enjoy. NOTE: Removed v1 see post 3 with new download RE: Operation Fischreiher (v.1) - Ricky B - 12-29-2022 Thanks for working through all of this! Looks most interesting, I don't even remember the original work any more, unfortunately. Rick RE: Operation Fischreiher (v.3) - zovs66 - 12-31-2022 Design Notes: This is updated to version 2, there were a lot of missing unit pictures for both sides, not just the missing Italians. These have all been added. Also added in the missing Soviet leaders for divisions based on my research, the original file had them listed as A Generic, these have all been corrected. Added folders for Russian, Russian-Guards, German and Italian along with the Unit and data for them. Added numerous Russian HQ unit pictures (some with and some without a leader picture). Added the following Russian leaders: Lt. Gen Kuznetsov, Maj Gen Kolomiets, Maj Gen Kirsanov, Col Zaitzev and Col Zubkov. Added new Russian unit pictures for: 152mm M37 How (hs) and 132mm MRL BM-13. Added Russian-Guards HQ unit picture for Gen Maj Beloborodov. Added all German AFV variants for PzKpfw II Ausf.F, PzKpfw III Ausf.G, PzKpfw III Ausf.J, PzKpfw III Ausf.L, PzKpfw III Ausf.M, PzKpfw IV Ausf.F1, PzKpfw IV Ausf.F2, and PzKpfw 38(t). Added German HQ picture for: Gen PzTrp Langermann. Added Croatian unit picture for: 42 Infantry Co (ft) (Kroat) Added new Italian folder and Unit subfolder including 21 new pictures for Italian units and Gen Messe, could not find the correct flags or pictures for Gen Blassio and Gen Pellegrini. Changed the Italian 3rd Celere Div (which per my sources does not exist) to 3rd Infantry Division "Ravenna" and added unit flag and renamed the HQ leader pic to the correct leader (original scenario had Gen Blassio, but all my sources say Gen Edoardo Nebbia). New folder including the following from above. German. Russian. Guards. Italians. The new stuff in action. New Soviet HQs (some with and without leader pic). Mixed German tank types. New Kroat units. Text was updated a bit (added design notes, not shown). New Italian HQs. NOTE 1: See the attached download file (note if you previously downloaded version 1, you'll need to completely remove all the files and replace them with these files). NOTE 2: Added two missing unit pics for the Russians (Added Col Kutalev and Gen Maj Berestov bmps). Removed v.2 and replaced with v.3. Sorry for that. RE: Operation Fischreiher (v.1) - Plain Ian - 12-31-2022 Jeesy peeps you do know this is Christmas and you should be having a break. Good catch on celere. Thats a mobile unit which was in N. Africa? My pc still off limits so I still have to try out this scenario. RE: Operation Fischreiher (v.1) - Barbarossa68 - 03-06-2024 Thanks a million for the probably endless hours that went into this! That's exactly what I was looking for - a campaign size scenario covering Unternehmen Fischreiher as opposed to PzC Stalingrad putting the main focus on the Russian Operation Uranus. One question though: I just put the contents of the zip file incl. the whole folder structure into the PzC Stalingrad folder and noticed that a few unit files get overwritten ... is there a conflict with the original versions of Stalingrad 4.0.3? Or can I continue to play the original games with the updated unit files coming with Operation Fischreiher? |
