Files added to the data base - zap - 07-15-2023

Gentleman I was contacted by Steve (Nypsn)'. I wanted to acknowledge him for contacting. He saw a post looking for someone who may have files on a hard drive from an early date.  He sent me a list of files he has EF, WF, he says from 2002

UPDATE the RS list is completed.
EF, WF list will be coming.

RE: can you help me? - zap - 07-15-2023

UPDATED
A tough little fight - these files are missing at the Blitz
Retaking Midway - is not in the Blitz data Base
Iwo Jima - Suribachi - there is a Iwo Jima first day 1.1 but this entry may be different
Island Assault - I don't see this in the data base
Dying Sun descends - I don't see this one in the data base
Toehold in The Admiralties - is not in the in data base
Raiders Ridge (RS) - seems to be a different scenario then the Raiders Ridge, they have different file names. If so, this one is not in the data base.
A Nasty rock - I don't see this one in the data base.

Completing the RS list these are what I found.

Thanks Phil. Erik had sent me one or two final RS emails that I never got to. A Clash of Armor and A Risky Mission were two of those he had the files to, so I just added them in. Cross those two off the list. The rest I can add back when you get me the zips.

Last night I finished the WF found 61 files. These files will have to be filtered by me a second time, then i can ship them off to Dave. When done i'll post the list.

RE: Files added to the data base - zap - 09-11-2023

Here are the WF Files Steve had on his hard drive:
These all have entires in the data base but are missing the files .
2nd New Zealand to the rescue
Agony in the Huertgen Forest
Battle on the Rhine River
battle of Grand Halleux
The minturno corridor
The vaagso Raid
Oscarborg Fortress
Panzers push towards Breda
Recapturing Erngge
Spark
Lions in the Desert
Lions in the DesertV2
Just one more Ridge
Drive to Bastogne V4
On to the Rhine
Operation Quick Anger
Oratona: The Canadian Stalingrad.

There are another 35 or so of these not in the Blitz data base to be added:

They have been sent off to Dave to be entered into the data base.
In total the WF scenario files numbered 61, I believe.

Again, a big shout out to Steven who happened to have these files on his hard drive from 2002 . I'm glad he reached out to me. I should point out that Steve also just played his first CS game since being a member from long ago. Congrats on the first game registered to the ladder at the Blitz

Good morning, Blitzers!  I stumbled on the above thread and am curious if these files have been entered into the Blitz database.  I came across the files for Oscarborg Fortress but don't see it as an option for reporting a ladder game.  Let me know if there's anything I can do to help get these into the system.  Thanks!

I'm embarrassed to say, no, not yet. I have 33 attachments that Phil had sent me marked "unread" in my emails so I don't forget, but I just haven't been in the mood to go through them. I have to open each zip to check the files, then make sure the file names match up with what is already entered in the database (if already there), verify the size modifier is correct, etc. etc. I got a little burnt out after getting all the Rising Sun scenarios squared away that Hawk Kriegsman helped me with. It's a lot of work.

So... I'll get there. I haven't forgotten.  Big Grin

I'm going to update this. The email I have from Phil doesn't have those files. Either Phil forgot to send them or I misplaced that email. I DO have correspondence with Erik (Hawk Kriegsman) trying to find the files for "Oscarborg Fortress". The download file was corrupt (0 bytes), so I removed it. If you have a zip of the files I can fix that one at least.
