SOLVED PBEM troubleshooting - MCP1972 - 10-07-2024 I'm trying to play my first PBEM PzC scenario and having a bit of trouble. I've received the first turn from my opponent (only 9kb in size btw?) but when I try to open it according to the instructions in the link below it just opens into the default "single hex" view. There's no prompt for a replay or to save a password or anything. I'm on v4.04 of France 40 Gold and I believe my opponent is as well. Am I missing anything obvious? Windows apparently doesn't like special characters so PSA. If playing 0512_05 from France 40 PBEM you'll have to rename it, as it chokes on either the umlaut or the bang! or both. RE: PBEM troubleshooting - ComradeP - 10-07-2024 That guide is...slightly dated, but most of it should still work. PBEM files now go into a "saves" folder and not the main folder of a certain game. Just to be sure: you've switched the mode to Play by E-Mail in the Mode menu and are attempting to open a .bte file? 9 kb is small, but for a side with only a handful of units it might be possible.
