Generals,
I have noted and fixed the units that arrive fixed for the allies. My apologies as I thot I had already fixed that but apparently missed a few.I have never played the new scenario into the last half. Thank you Ed for finding the flaw. I have enclosed the updated files.

So what happens when you're 14 turns into the old one? Think we should just try swapping the old files with the new and hope for the best?

Actually, from what I understand, once you have a ".bte" file you cannot make scenario file changes. :chin:

The units in question are not critical to the outcome. When they began to collect in the hex I just began removing them. :smoke:

Quite an interesting scenario, nontheless. :)

I would just keep going..........the units affected are in the later turns...I think if you just exit them it will keep the hex clear. I am not sure the number of units will affect the overall outcome that much. Only other option is to reach an agreement with your opponent whereby you can hit them with real light arty to release them or start over. Ed is right once the bte file is set as far as I know it won't be changed by any new files from the scenario.

Thanks for the info gents. And Ed, you understate a bit with "quite an interesting scenario".... I say while trying to survive the Biblical pillars of fire raining down from Bolshevik artillery.

Lot of fun this one. Really does have the feel of Kursk as I've imagined it. Recommend it to all.

We had a bit of that Russian artillery in the teamer that was just finished. We thought it countered the German "basket full of Tigers" quite nicely. If the German infantry cannot keep up with their armor the Russians get a leg up.
A three hex deep, six to eight hex wide artillery concentration, each turn, was quite effective. We saw numerous hits and tremendous losses from artillery in that one. Especially if you got lucky and picked the right spot. :chin:
Retreating some arty while continuing to pound the Germans was quite exciting. You do learn to love, and hate, those Russian rockets.

I totally agree with RR's deadly and detailed account of the accuracy of the Russian artillery and especially those deadly rocket volleys! Of course artillery accuracy is only as good as it's commander and I found RR to be one of the best that I've been unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of.

As the recipient of some of those volleys I quickly learned 2 things. (1) Don't stack infantry and (2) If you have to cross open ground "squeeze them tight" and run like heck... IMHO.
