France '14 AAR Turning the flank !!

This was a very tough, intense battle to turn the French flank. I carried out my plan, against superior numbers of Fremchmen, but it turned out the plan was faulty. Thinking I was on the French flank and could strike across Vimy Ridge, I found the French present in force. As Darran handled his forces very well, I was unable to take advantage of the disarray in his ranks and seize enough objectives to win with my original attack.

The shift to the north map edge was delayed due to Foul's pushes and my commitment of the cavalry to the line - if I had pulled them out I had nothing to fill the hole without spreading my infantry out too far to attack. In hindsight, that would have been the way to go but I learned that too late.
