reinstalling HPS Campaign Games

well its been a long while since I have played any of the HPS Tilller Panzer Campaign games
but... I loaded Korsun to my PC (Microsoft 8.2.. I never upgraded)

now the question
I am playing around for a PBEM.. and when I click save..
the file is not a .bte...
my PC saves it as a 'word' doc...
is it something in my permissions that need to change ???

I have never heard of that before. When you say it is a word doc, do you mean it actually has .doc appended to the end? Or that it opens in Word if you try to open it? If it is actually appending.doc on the end, I would contact HPS support for assistance, as I don't know how that would possibly happen or how to possibly fix it.

If it is opening in Word, in some way, that would typically mean you have some odd association between .bte and Word that could be cleared - for that you could google how to change a file association. I don't recall the details but it is easy to find on the net.
