I am biased, but I like AoTR alot, and if you get that, you also can download the SBWW2 Mod for it, a huge expansion to the game adding over 48 countrys and 800+ vehicles and weapons, as well as different terrain types and 80+ scenario's! It is a top down only mod, so the portraits and sideshots won't work in it due to the huge amount of additions before they went back to the original artwork. Also the 3D is not supported in it for the same reasons, but the vanilla AoTR has them.

Both are good, It really depends on what part of the eastern front theatre interests you most. I think Red Victory probably gets more play here at the Blitz but they are equivalents in my view. Why not get both? there's the sale on :)
