B'45: Panther "D"?

B'45: Panther "D"?
I notice that most, I haven't seen every Panther unit mind you, of the Panthers are the "D" type.

I thought the "D" was no longer deployed and it was the "A" and "G" that carried out the war at the begining of '44 to the end of the war.

Were all these Panther's "D" during this offensive?

Hiroo

PS Not that it would matter, there are few Russian tanks that can stand up to this beast in the campaign.

Don't have the game yet (still waiting for it to arrive; hurry up!!!Big Grin) but it's my understanding that although Model D production had been discontinued in 1943, a few probably still fought with various units.

Well so far it appears every Panther is a "D" model.

Not all are. Some are just PzKw V, such as the Totenkopf and Wiking divisions. It's strange that after Korsun, where they're all Vg (it's early 1944), the Germans have reverted to making Vd.

Or is Korsun quite wrong? I don't know my WWII hardware as well as I should. Oh, I should just shut up.

Looking in the OoB there are only "PzKw V Panther." There is no model distinction.

I suspect the use of the "d" on the graphic is simply a mistake.

I also believed it to be a mistake.

No problem, still a great game. I was just curious.
