Calculator key sequence?

Does anybody know what the key sequence is to find out percentages on pocket calculators?
For example I've bought 158 tanks in Malitz so far and lost 119 of them, so what's 119 as a percentage of 158?
I want to do other percent calculations too which is why I need the key sequence, the help index for my PC's calculator doesn't even have the word 'percentages' in it, duh..

(PS-for the record my Malitz opponents have bought 142 tanks so far and lost 99 of them, so it looks like their percentage kill ratio is better than mine, but i need to know the key sequence to find out for sure)

Hey Poor,

hope I understand it right. first step 100:158 = x:119

second step 100:158*119=x

If you need it for other calculates change all to 100:142 = x:99 and then to 100:142*99=x

100 stands for 100% and x for the % you look for.

119/158 x 100 = 75.32

99/142 x 100 = 69.72

/ is the division key.

To find the % of remaining tanks the sequence is:

New minus old divided by old.

In your case it is: 158 - 119 = 39

Second step is take 39 / 158 = 25%

To find the % of tanks destroyed just take 119 / 158 = 75%

Okay thanks guys, my tank loss rate is therefore (gulp) 75%..

(PS - or to put it another way, I lose three-quarters of my tanks in every game, aren't statistics er..fun..)

Don't feel bad I lost 5 of 6 = 83 %. Of course you lost 83 % as well in our game so it worked out OK.

Well that's what tanks are for, for feeding into the meatgrinder..:)
There are still 10 Malitz games to be finished so when all the results are in i'll do a deeper final analysis..
