PBEM campaign
We are having some trouble with Fokko in our campaign, if you enter your turn and then hit three wrong passwords for the oppos turn, you can see your own arty land on enemy units, thus a free look at opponents forces at the area of your arty strikes. This happens for both of us so it isn't a faulty install but rather a bug. Does anyone know about this and if there is a fix for it?

RE: PBEM campaign
The above is for MBT, just tested SPWW2 and what happens there is that if player one ends his turn and then three times hits wrong pw for the oppo then the player2 turn is skipped and if player1 had arty at zero delay on his last turn then he sees the arty land in other words sees the end of opponents turn. Kind of sucks if you ask me.

RE: PBEM campaign
Hello Vesku,
Yes - a bug I think.. I've seen this happen in SPWAW also when '0' turn artillery is set and the guns turned off..
This is why when I set up artillery during deployment, I always set the arrival for turn 1 (use the '+' button to add a 1 turn delay..)
This seems to insure that if a wrong password is entered, the artillery won't fire and show things that it ought not to, and you don't lose the targeting that you are trying to set up for.. and your opponent doesn't hear/see 'blanks' firing either..
Cheers!

RE: PBEM campaign
Thanks for the info but it's not on setup, noticed it on turn 14 and my test was on turn 4 or 5. So I think it will happen every turn if you want to.

RE: PBEM campaign
Hello Vesku.
Hmm.. interesting and not good.. don't remember this happening in MBT 3.5 or WW2 2.5..
probably another unintended issue from a minor code change for the new versions.. since it's happening to both games, it has to be something common..
maybe we go back to 3.5/2.5 for a time?

RE: PBEM campaign
hmm.. next thought.. this is a PBEM campaign you are playing? New feature for the new releases I think..
I haven't noticed it in regular PBEM battles.. I'll have to try with my current games (with my opponents permission of course) and see what happens..

Yes, it only happens on PBEM campaign, haven't seen it on regular PBEM battles.

RE: PBEM campaign
Hello Vesku,
OK - as I thought..
I played alot of SPWAW solo before I found the blitz.. I played a number of the campaigns that were packed with the game.. I noticed that if I started the game, but hit 'quit' from the start turn menu, that the game would not exit until all the 'after turn' activity had played out.. artillery, para's, infiltrators, reinforcements..
never really bothered me as I was playing the AI..
Never took the time to play a campaign in WW2/MBT..
Sounds to me that this issue has been around for some time.. and now that PBEM campaigns are available it might be a problem..
