Question: Do commanders impact artillery damage?
I have a RS scenario that has an extra high level commander (strength 4) and I do not know what to do with him.
I could have him assist in the infantry attack but was also wondering if he occupied a artillery unit hex would he impact the damage of that artillery piece?
Thanks guys!

I don't think so.......only direct fire weapons get the modifier.

As long as the weapon does not have any indirect fire capabilies....
Some of the Jap guns fit this description.

The direct-fire only cannons (most of the "infantry" guns, I think) should get the bonus.
