Sure would be nice to have a deployment phase to place your units at the beginning of each battle throughout a campaign. It is very aggravating to see a lot of forces at the beginning of some of these battles..........arty placed in places where there is no chance of escape or hardly any movement because there is no road or trail, basically useless unless attacked.......or the placing of the seemingly weakest units at the most critical part of the line. It could be changed if one can place their own units before battle with say, an area type placement. For example, this div can be placed in "A" woods, "B" woods or "C" hill or split between the three. Or it can be you place your army within these boundaries on the map any way you see fit.
What are the chances of something like this? You already have total control over your army, might as well have control over it's deployment.
I guess the same goes for Naps and EAW as well. Just a thought.
