Minefields and supplies

I can't tell from the manual if minefields actually block a line of supply. I have that idea in my head, for some reason, but can't find it in black and white. What's the verdict? Do minefields block the tracing of a line of supply?

Minefields that are not penetrated do. But not after they are pentrated - been entered by a unit and have a white line under them - they no longer block supply.

Unpenetrated ones also block the line of retreat if a defending unit "loses" an assault and must retreat - if there is no other valid retreat hex the unit will instead lose half its strength in addition to combat losses - and this applies to engineers too, as Foul learned in a game of Compass that we played.
